Indian-American journalist, columnist, whose name I don't mention in this context, wrote in 1977, receiving a lot of attention to the article, "The Rise of a Liberal Democracy", in which he expressed concern about the fact that a liberal democracies are increasing and doing well in different parts of the world.

He pointed out that democracy does not automatically guarantee freedom. On the contrary, it can be used to remove freedoms.
